Richardson Family Art Museum, Wofford College

TJC collaborates with Wofford’s Art History department every year to curate a selection of works to be displayed during Wofford’s fall semester.

Wofford College is a private liberal arts college in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Founded in 1854, it is one of the few four-year institutions in the southeastern United States founded before the American Civil War that still operates on its original campus. The Richardson Family Art Museum and the Richardson Family Art Gallery, located at the Rosalind Sallenger Richardson Center for the Arts, serve as a dynamic resource for the Spartanburg community, a working laboratory for the college, and a platform for visiting exhibitions and the college’s own permanent collection.

The museum is accessible through the back entrance of the Rosalind Sallenger Richardson Center for the Arts; TJC exhibits are located on the second floor in the Richardson Family Art Museum. Fall dates change depending on the semester, but look to view a TJC exhibition between August and December at this location. A Soldier’s View is now open from September 2nd through December 12th, 2026. 

The Richardson Family Art Museum is open to the public with free admission on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Thursday from 1 to 7 p.m.
